Weight Training
Getting rid of cellulite is equal parts fat reduction and muscle toning. And while exercises such as running make for great fat burners, nothing builds and tones muscles quite like weight training. Every person, man or woman, needs to weight train a little bit to build strong muscles and bones. It also tones the body, making cellulite less visible. And since muscles accelerate fat burn, wherever there are muscles, there is less fat.
To get started on weight training, make sure you focus on areas where cellulite lies. Squats are a great way to fight cellulite and tone legs, as this exercise works the gluteus maximus, hamstring, and quadricep muscles.
Pilates
Pilates techniques have also shown to be helpful in reducing the appearance of cellulite. However, Pilates is not really a muscle-building practice. Rather, it has historically been used by dancers and more currently by athletes and exercise enthusiasts alike to compliment an exercise regimen. Pilates helps to elongate muscles, creating a leaner physical appearance. This may also help cellulite be less visible by spreading existing fat out over.Remember that it is the aggregation of fat that leads to the cottage-cheesethat is cellulite.
