This fact alone should give a measure of solace to women who wish to be as “perfect” as Miss Barton appears to be. This leads us to the conclusion of what women have long suspected, and naive males have denied…in the end, celebrity flawlessness is all smokes and mirrors.

How did Mischa Barton get Cellulite?

Although some people attribute cellulite to obesity and weight gain, the fact is social status, age, height, weight and skin color does not seem to be a discriminator when it comes to acquiring cellulite.

If celebrated beauties like Mischa can have cellulite, then any of us can develop this annoying skin imperfection.

But then, Mischa may be contributing to the severity of her own cellulite. Mischa Barton Cellulite – caused by Smoking? mischa barton smoking cellulite

Mischa Barton, who rose to fame on the TV show OC, is said to be an avid smoker. On top of being a very unhealthy and rather foul habit, smoking may worsen the effects of cellulite. This is because smoking has been linked to the constriction of capillaries. This can create damage to the connective tissue that causes the dimpling effect of cellulite.

This may explain why some women who smoke tend to have harder time getting rid of cellulite than those who do not.

Now, while we may know that cigarette smoking has been attributed to cellulite, we also know that no matter how healthy, fit, young or famous you are, you can still get cellulite.

What can be done?

First, Mischa needs to lose the cigarettes. Seriously. Not only is it unattractive, it stains teeth and nails, smells up the hair, accelerate skin wrinkling and can make cellulite worse. When you are trying to prolong your beauty, this can be a bit counterproductive.
